About us
ECAR - The Engineering Centre of Airbus in Russia - a Russian company jointly owned by Airbus and Kaskol Group and the first Airbus
engineering facility in Europe outside its home countries. It started operations
in March 2003 and was inaugurated on the 3rd of June 2003
ECAR is a part of Airbus industrial partnership with Russia. This partnership includes the following
fields:
- Aircraft's preliminary and detailed design
- Research & Technology
Aims of the centre
- perform design works for current and new Airbus aircraft programs
- provide other Russian design bureaus with engineering subcontracts
The centre
- is fully integrated into Airbus engineering process
- works following the most modern Airbus standards and technologies
- participates in major Airbus programmes including the A380
- Quality Management System certified and conforms to EN/AS/JISCQ 9100 and ISO
9001:2000 standards
Staff
- Over 180 Russian engineers have been employed
- Most engineers have been trained in Airbus engineering standards and processes
in Toulouse and Hamburg
